Aswan High Dam

Built in the 1960s, the High Dam is one of Egypt’s greatest modern engineering achievements. It controls the annual flooding of the Nile and created Lake Nasser, one of the world’s largest artificial lakes.

Unfinished Obelisk

Located in ancient granite quarries, this enormous unfinished obelisk reveals how ancient Egyptians carved massive monuments directly from stone.

Philae Temple

One of Egypt’s most beautiful temples, dedicated to the goddess Isis. The temple was relocated to Agilkia Island after the construction of the High Dam to protect it from flooding.

After the tour:
