Day 1: Arrival in Aswan – Explore Aswan Highlights & Embarkation

Your journey begins in Aswan, known for its relaxed atmosphere and stunning Nile scenery.

Aswan High Dam

Built in the 1960s, the High Dam is one of Egypt’s greatest modern achievements. It controls the annual flooding of the Nile and created Lake Nasser, one of the largest artificial lakes in the world. From the top, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding desert and water.

Philae Temple

One of Egypt’s most beautiful temples, Philae was dedicated to the goddess Isis. The temple was carefully relocated to Agilkia Island after the construction of the High Dam. Its elegant columns, detailed carvings, and peaceful island setting make it a highlight of Aswan.

Unfinished Obelisk

Located in ancient granite quarries, this massive obelisk was abandoned due to a crack during carving. It provides a rare look into how ancient Egyptians cut and shaped stone directly from the bedrock.
